[pre-order] Handsome Furs - Sound Kapital + Tour Dates

The Handsome Furs are set to release their 3rd LP Sound Kapital on June 28, and you can now pre-order the record at Insound and SubPop.

Also revealed is the NSFW cover art (seen above).

The band has listed the first leg of their North American tour. Most notable is their July 23 appearance in Seattle at the Capitol Hill Block Party (can we rename it Kapital Hill?). More dates are posted below.

Capitol Hill Block Party 2009 (Schedule Posted)

Capitol Hill Block Party 2009

The Capitol Hill Block Party announced its final bill, along with a schedule for the two-day event. Late additions to the lineup include Built to Spill, PELA, The Lonely Forest, Fences, Awesome Color, Wild Orchid Children, and Sing Sing Reunion. The Seattle music festival will take place in the heart of Capitol Hill on July 24-25. Tickets are available now: just $23 for single day tickets or $42 for a 2 day pass. You can purchase tickets at the Neumo’s box office and at Seattle Urban Outfitters, or online at Ticket West. Check out the full schedule below.

Capitol Hill Block Party 2009 - Lineup Announced

Cap Hill Block Party - July 25-26, 2009

The Capitol Hill Block Party lineup for 2009 was announced today. It looks as if the two day event will be headlined by Sonic Youth and The Jesus Lizard, with stage support from acts including The Blakes, Deerhunter, The Thermals, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Moondoggies, and many more (with more bands to be announced as well). Tickets can be purchased here on May 1 at 10:00am.
