[news] Cave Singers Sign to Jagjaguwar

The Cave Singers Jump Labels

After two albums with Matador, The Cave Singers have switched labels to Bloomington, Indiana's Jagjaguwar. The band plans to enter the studio this summer with Seattle producer Randall Dunn, the man behind the boards with bands like Sunn O))), Boris, and Black Mountain. With the help of Dunn, they hope to create a record more akin to The Cave Singers' incredible live shows. The recording session will manifest itself with a Jagjaguwar debut LP early next year.

"Everything's more electrified on this record, and just louder," Fudesco recently told Seattle Weekly. "We wanted to work with someone who we felt could have a bit thicker production, and working with someone who does a lot of heavier records, [we thought] even our quieter songs would probably come off more like we play 'em live."

The Cave Singers have a handful of live shows where you could get to hear some new jams road-tested.
